Butter Masala Roti

Butter Masala Roti is a quick and healthy snack. You can also knead the dough in night and make it in morning and pack in Kids Tiffin.

Ingredients
  

  • Multi-grain flour : 2 cups
  • Roasted sesame seeds : 2 tsp.
  • Carom seeds {ajwain} : 1/2 tsp.
  • Butter : 4 tbsp.
  • Fresh mint leaves : 6 to 7
  • Chat masala : 2 tsp.
  • Roasted cumin powder : 1 tsp.
  • Fresh green chilies : 4 to 5
  • Tomato : 2 small
  • Onion : 3 small
  • Ginger-garlic paste : 1 tsp.
  • Fresh coriander : 1/2 cup
  • Ghee : 3 tbsp.
  • Salt : as per taste

Instructions
 

  • Sift flour in a big bowl.
  • Add finely chopped onions, tomatoes, fresh coriander leaves, mint leaves and ginger-garlic paste in the flour.
  • Add washed and finely chopped green chillies, chat masala, sesame seeds, carom seeds and cumin powder in flour, mix well.
  • Finally add melted butter and knead it into a soft dough, use water as required.
  • Make the small balls out of the kneaded dough and give it round shape.
  • Heat a tawa, apply little ghee over it and transfer masala roti and cook on low heat for one minute.
  • Turn the roti and cook the other side for 1 minute or until crispy & light golden brown.
  • Brush cooked roti's with lots of butter & serve hot with tomato sauce.

Notes

You can serve this roti as evening snack or pack in tiffin.
